My favorite Marlon Byrd moment (since we're being nostalgic) was when he knocked Joe West on his giant fat walrus ass during a game with a chest bump of some sort. It was touch and go, we all thought Joe West was going to get up and eat the summbeetch.

The best part of the night for me was the fact that I took a Pittsburgh native and Pirates fan to the game. I've taken him to a Pirates game every year since 2005 as an annual thing. He had hopes the kid would implode, but by the 4th inning he was just hoping he'd stop K'ing people. Then in the 5th and 6th he said, "Wow, this kid is impressive." And in the 7th he was standing and applauding Stras and his effort. After that game he said "I honestly don't know how I can repay you for these tickets this year. You invited me to a true event."

I was in the Scoreboard Pavilion for that game. I had to be there for his first game. Electric atmosphere.

Between then and now I've been to probably 10 games.

But, the last game I was at the park was Strasburg's first HR. That HR cheer was almost as loud...

I'm going to be that 70 year old grandfather saying I was there for Strasburg's first game and his first HR.
