Luckily for MDS there's a quote about assramming:

Quote
AMPSON
A dog of that house shall move me to stand: I will
take the wall of any man or maid of Montague's.
GREGORY
That shows thee a weak slave; for the weakest goes
to the wall.
SAMPSON
True; and therefore women, being the weaker vessels,
are ever thrust to the wall: therefore I will push
Montague's men from the wall, and thrust his maids
to the wall.

What shall I say more than I have inferr'd?
Remember whom you are to cope withal:
A sort of vagabonds, rascals, and runaways,
A scum of Bretons and base lackey peasants,
Whom their o'er-cloyed country vomits forth
To desperate adventures and assur'd destruction.

- Richard III, V, iii (from his oration to his army - or was he anticipating Phillies fans?)

coming from the guy who lives by this quote "gives a freak about the past!" and thinks getting HRod was a solid pick up, I don't take that as an insult!  :thumbs:

Whatever bro:

Quote
O father Abram, what these Christians are,
Whose own hard dealings teaches them suspect
The thoughts of others! Pray you, tell me this;
If he should break his day, what should I gain
By the exaction of the forfeiture?
A pound of man's flesh taken from a man
Is not so estimable, profitable neither,
As flesh of muttons, beefs, or goats. I say,
To buy his favour, I extend this friendship:
If he will take it, so; if not, adieu;
And, for my love, I pray you wrong me not.

That's pretty freaked up, but give me some cash and I'll forgive you.

That's in the original - Shakespeare was ahead of his time in so many ways....

[and the Phils did get the Red Sox' closer during the past off-season, so such may not be entirely inapt]

    Davey the King, Desmond and Zimmerman,
    Harper and Espi, Flores and LaRouche-
    Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.
    This story shall the good man teach his son;
    And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
    From this day to the ending of the world,
    But we in it shall be remembered-
    We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
    For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
    Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
    This day shall gentle his condition;
    And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
    Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
    And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
    That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

Zimmerman is almost as fragile as Wright, pissing me off. $226 million dollars not playing.

The last "manager's decision" was Werth's migraine.

Manager's decision is a terrible, disconcerting reason.  Why put your fans through this rather than honesty?

I love Zim as much as the next guy, but his injury trends are no joke.

We don't know that he's injured. Comack said that he seemed fine in the clubhouse 35 minutes before he was scratched. Hell, maybe he's got the runs.

Morse seemed fine during his rehab before he had to shut down for 6 weeks.

If he's not injured then Davey Johnson really is the worst mananger in baseball and this really is the worst run franchise in sports.

He could have some sort of gastronomic problem, I guess.  That might explain the suddenness of the scratch.    :spaz:

Of course, it would be much more comforting to know if it were something like that rather than "manager's decision".
