Just go barefoot and skip the toe shoes.
I know, it's hard to do in the winter. I only manage about half my weekly mileage barefoot... tonight looks like an excellent night.
my cardio is pretty good, I'm pretty active, in good shape, and usually do something physical a couple of times a week. I wasn't at all tired at the end of today's workout but my legs were getting heavy. I just figured that given i've got 2 months to get ready, now would be a good time to make the shift to the other shoes.
