Nats repeating their lineup from yesterday with one change, swapping Ruiz for Adams.
Irvin has been suppressing BBs (6.2 BB%, 2.28 BB/9) and HRs (7.1% HR/FB, 0.65 HR/9). High BABIP (.333) and low strand rate (66.3%) have inflated his ERA. Looking for a bounceback after his last start against the Dodgers (6 ER over 4.2 IP).
Rogers is having similar problems with stranding runners and an even higher BABIP (.353)., with an even better suppression of homers (0.34). He missed most of last year due to injury and has yet to recapture his ability to strike guys out K% dropping from aroudn30% in 2020-21 to 20% so far in 2024).
