Belliard and Kearns have both contributed in the past week. It's not much, but it's a start. And I kind of like Riggleman's vow to rest a regular or two every night for a few weeks. Doing so requires using the bench, and getting better performance out of our bench is a bit of an overlooked factor in turning the team around.
I say overlooked, because there were so many key failures (bullpen, Dukes, fielding, etc.) that we haven't seen as much criticism of the overall bench, although plenty of anti-love for individuals.
