I want to say Rest In Peace to Chuck Brown, the Godfather of DC GoGo music.  "Bustin' Loose" is the homerun anthem for the Nats.  He will be missed greatly by all native Washingtonians.

Not just a great local song but a legitimate national hit as well on its 1979 release - topped the Billboard R&B charts and got up to 34 on their Hot 100.

Unless they did something before the match (I got to the ballpark last night just before the national anthem) I was a bit surprised they didn't recognise Chuck Brown, since the song has become so closely associated with the club since its arrival here.

They did more for Randy Macho Man Savage than for the Godfather of go-go.  I thought they might even give the sub horn a rest on the HRs because it drowns out the song but no such thinking.

Didn't he die after the game started?

Give them a day or two to pull something together and I hope there will be a better tribute.
