Whitmore falling due to medical concerns

The second round picks the wiz traded are in 2028.

Ceiling for Bilal is Giannis, but he’s a project.

Two of them to jump one spot to 7 in a 3 player draft. I guess we need to get psyched about a guy who totally isn’t Jan- that .595 ft percentage really going to play in the NBA.

Wiz will get Julian Phillips of Tennessee at 35 from Boston

https://www.rockytopinsider.com/2023/06/22/where-julian-phillips-lands-in-last-minute-mock-drafts/

And now they’ve traded him to Chicago.

Wizards get Patrick Baldwin Jr who was the GSW first round pick last year. Part of the Paul trade and included their 57 pick. M

They also draft Vucevic from Serbia.

Let the tank begin.

I think Poole will score 25 a game. On 35 shots.

I've lost track of all the moves, but I'm pretty sure our 2024 starting lineup will be LeBron, KD, CP, Steff, and Giannis.

Oh, about second rounders . . . Boston turned the #25 they ended up with in the Smart / Porzingis deal into four future second rounders and the #38 pick, with which they took Arkansas 6' 7" swing man Jordan Walsh.  But what does Brad Stevens know about building a contender? :lmao:

Sure, hes’s done so well with second round picks, why not double down?

A couple of his second round picks have even played in NBA games

Surprising since you don’t know how to spell his name.  :hysterical:

Will Bilal be as good as our last French phenoms?  Isaac Bonga and Kevin Serafin.  Probably cannot hope that much.

I’m more excited about the second round Serb the more I read about him.  Seems he did surprisingly well at the draft combine and was playing regularly for one of the better Euro teams.  Cmon Ted. Buy out his contract and bring him over this year.

And Ryan Rollins can take Jordan Poodle’s place one we trade him.

If he dropped the K, he might have at least gotten sponsorships

Athletic freak who wasn’t good enough to earn playing time in the euros and who can’t shoot- reminds me more of a boy named Jan than Seraphin

my apologies. Yabusele was a 1st rounder and Fall was undrafted. Ryan Gomes was pretty good for them. We'll see if Davison makes the team next year.

Several were part of trades.

Nice letter, hopefully he and Durant fall off a cliff and Booker demands a trade.

This is what I referred to in an earlier post.  Teams have to be at 90 percent if the salary cap on day one of the season.  I believe it starts in 2024-25. Hard to tell what the author of the tweet means by next year. One reason you take on a salary over four years like Poole. Or you can trade him for matching salaries. I think the Wizards will be below the 90 percent for Thai year. And it doesn’t make sense to just extend and pay your own guys more if they aren’t worth it.

Would be nice if MLB had something like this.

If you aren't at 90%, players on your team split the difference. Even if a team doesn't want to go that route, they can over pay on one year deals and not tie themselves down the next year.

Here's an upbeat article about the Wizards and some of their recent roster additions.  Although he said "the product on the court next year won't be pretty", the writer also noted that San Antonio's top talent scout and Coach Popovich "coveted Couibaly.  That's good enough for me."

Kuzma resigns, 4/$102 million

Guess the salary floor is impacting things?
