9-2 now.  Runners on 2nd and 3rd.  THIS is why what Davey did was so atrocious last inning...

But a dickhead comment nonetheless.  They were sucking the Phillies off all night,.

Yep.

They start talking about our league leading staff after the game is out of reach.

This is when you use pitchers like Ryan Perry/Brian Sanches...when you're up by 8 runs.

At this point Lombo needs to get on just to see Bryce again.

Are you serious?  Be objective.  My brother and I were laughing for half the game because all they talked about was Harper.  We kept saying how we thought all of the Philly fans watching this must be yelling at the TV sets.

They didn't start leaning towards the Philly talk until they were up 4-1.  And what the hell are you supposed to talk about with this team as a broadcaster during this game?  "Well usually, they're a better team.  Let's talk about that."

They were overtly hostile to the notion that the Nats management should not have gleefully sold as many tickets as possible to the drunken hordes.  One of the guys even made a comment about it being unAmerican or something to that effect.  No mention whatsoever of the genesis of the whole issue, the selling out of our 2010 opening day by Kasten and the boorish behaviour of the Philthies who bussed down.

Objectivity would have demanded a fair background context to the "take back the park" story.

I'm not the one having trouble being objective here.  I was very interested in this game specifically because I wanted to see what kind of treatment we got from ESPN.  I wanted to see if it was as bad as I expected.  It vastly exceeded my expectations.  You are out of your mind if you think more than 20% of the words spoken in this broadcast were about the Nats.  And most of those were probably about Harper.

Lombo is a bench player. So is Ankiel, Nady, Espinosa.

Yeah, the audacity of that guy, expecting the Nationals to win games and close out series. Getting mad at your team losing winnable games? Where does he get off?

a taste of success and people expect us to sweep every series. win 2/3 of most series and you're in the playoffs, thats all i care about

That ERA will keep going up. Too much contact and no command tonight. Can't strike any body out either.

I'd be more sympathetic if he wasn't bad tonight.

He shouldn't have come out for the 7th inning.  Zimmermann is a 6 inning starter, period.  That's been proven over and over again.

But we need these sweeps, we aren't going to keep taking 2 of 3 with these injuries.

"Quality start."  If you guys expect the rest of the starting staff to keep up the numbers they've been putting up all season, you're gonna have a bad time.  They are human after all.

Also, Strasburg, Gio, and EJax all have a higher OPS than Nady :lmao: (yes, SSS, IDGAF, still depressingly funny)
