The NBA should get rid of the max salary but keep the salary cap. That way, Lebron James can get paid $40 mil a year or whatever but 2 other guys almost as good can't be on the same team. Lakers can have Kobe at however much he wants to make but they can't have Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard and Steve Nash.
