Longenhagen has Crews #10 on his updated top 100 for Fangraphs. He believes Crews has problems with heat and cannot pull hard inside stuff.

Cant hit velo and cant hit sliders. Great scouting, Mike.

Absolutely do nothing with Parker.   Rizzo needs to trade Williams ASAP
Have to have a willing partner and no one is desperate yet. Parker will be fine in the pen. Can use him to skip Irvin and manage innings

Can’t pull the heat. Sounds like Bryce Harper.

Combined with House to hit for the cycle today (hit a 3B to go along with House having a 1B, 2B, and HR).

Why not bring up James Wood? DFAS Robles this evening and bring up Wood in time to play tomorrow. If they are waiting out some date to hold Wood an extra season, when would that be? Bryce Harper came up on April 28. Soto on May 20.
I think Thomas has first dibs on any outfield roster spots that open up, so I expect Robles will be around another day or two before Thomas is activated. Wood would require offing somebody else among the OF/DH/1B. Guess is Meneses, who can be optioned.

Dont do a 6 man rotation. Gore and Gray need innings. Either stash Parker in the pen or send him down.

Moving Corbin to the pen would make more sense...so we know they won't do that...

Dylan Crews, CF, Washington Nationals

Here we have another upper-echelon prospect whose pre-existing swing issues have been exposed and are going to force an adjustment. I wrote in Crews’ Top 100 blurb from the offseason that he’s often late against fastballs and really only able to pull softer stuff on the inner third with any kind of power. This has been an issue in the early portion of 2024, as he’s striking out nearly 30% of the time while getting to enough of his power to be productive anyway. He and the Nationals need to find a way for him to cover the inner half of the zone.
