Wut

From their website

Quote
Our tickets start at $35 when you purchase them from our site. If you find some that are way more than $35, those tickets had been bought from us and are now being sold on a third-party platform that we cannot control. These third-parties include StubHub, Ticket Master, etc. We also highly recommend that you DO NOT purchase from people on Facebook as those are typically fraudulent. Warning: Tickets purchased through third party sites are often fraudulent and will not be accepted.

Pretty sure they sell at 35 bucks on their website and sell out instantly. Then the second hand market blows things up.

The Bananas just notified those who entered the lottery for tickets at Nats park of the results. I did not get a ticket slot. This freaking event is going to sell out the stadium.

I got the same rejection email. But a couple of weeks ago they had a season plan holder presale and we were able to buy four seats in the club level (200 level I believe) for $75 a pop. Not cheap, but I succumbed to FOMO.

Finally looked up some clips. Do they do athletic skill tricks and routines like the Globetrotters, or is it more of the dancing/costume change prop slapstick comedy attempts? Basically, is it a two hour version of the Presidents race with associated (cringeworthy) hijinks?

I don’t know about now but you used to be able to see the Globetrotters for basically free. This seems like a lot of money to see something similar. Maybe due to the newness?

I'll be out of the country when they come to Nats Park, grr. My wife and I have been looking to see the Bananas play for years, it looks really entertaining. They sell out every single game.

Here's one of many articles about how they went from a middling minor league team to one of the hottest tickets in America: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/may/26/savannah-bananas-baseball-team-tiktok-banana-ball
