No reason to hurry this guy. He's young. And our infield is busy right now. Abrams is playing every day. House shouldn't be shunted to first to get his bat up here fast. The Nats need to keep Lipscomb involved. Senzel probably gets some more 3B burn. And, strangely, I want to see more Garcia at 2B.

I think if we get into July and August and Brady House is hitting well in AA and in the majors Lipscomb is holding his own at 3B, then maybe it is to start experimenting with Brady House at in the corner outfield.

I think Lipscomb would be moved off of 3B before House.

I should frame that better. I just think if Lipscomb is playing well, then I want him playing every day. Brady House is only 20. Let him develop instead of getting up fast. It isn't like the Nats are wasting MLB ABs on a Nelson Cruz or César Hernández.

If Brady House starts knocking the cover off the ball, they'll move people around to get him on the field. I just see no reason to rush in the interim.

I think the best case scenario has House and Crews up 3d half of August. Lipscomb will not block him at 3rd, and Senzel will be gone. There's no way they need to play Kieboom or Alu ahead of him in Rochester. I'd give him to mid-may, then move him up with his current level of performance

How is he defensively? If he a legit 3B or is he a guy who may end up in the corner OF or 1B?

I believe he is supposed to be very good. But maybe someone else can chime in with some evidence of that?

here's what MILB has to say:
Quote
The Nats didn’t waste much time by moving House to third base in 2023 out of their belief that his range would play better there, and early reviews were promising. His arm, which helped him touch 96 mph as a high school pitcher, certainly fits the position and gives House a true defensive asset. With his back issues in the past, the Georgia native has rebuilt his stock and joins Double-A teammates Dylan Crews and James Wood as building blocks for the future of baseball in the capital.

He was a shortstop but was moved off the position due to his size and Abrams ahead of him. Has a strong rep for defense. "Plus power and defense"

Hold your horses a bit. Power is great, but over the stretch he produced 5 HRs, he's hit .193 / .292 / .526, with 27.7 K% and 10.8 BB%. He's Gallo turning 21 in a month. Still a work in progress.

House hit a missile opposite field for a homer.   One of the hardest hit opposite field shots I remember from a prospect

Slashing .279/.380/.581 over his last 50 PAs. That'll do.

I have zero desire to see him in DC this year, but I'd be very happy if he earns some time in Rochester.

I'd bump him to Rochester if he has 150 more PAs with a .900+ OPS. And I think that's patient.

Yep. Or shows good approach at the plate. This guy might challenge for a starter spot in 2025.

I still have hope they break spring training with both House and Crews in the lineup. Hope not expectation
