I saw someone say Young was an IF in college, we should really start playing him all over the place in the minors and turn him into a super utility guy. There is a path to the majors for any guy with that type of speed who can play all over the field.

So THAT's who he is. I kept seeing his name above Wood in the Wilmington box score...and usually with hits.

4-5 last night. .329/.409/.443 .852 OPS. Get him to AA to see if there is something real here.

Young is a competent OF. He's hitting .280 in AA and fields respectably. Maybe the minors are not all that "top heavy" with Young, Lucas Knowles, and all the college draftees.

Absolutely makes sense. I’ve been calling for it in the past two days.

Young and Lipscomb belong in Rochester now. Wood and Hassell each struck out three times today.

Lipscomb was moved to 2B to learn the position and as long as Garcia is at Rochester he is blocked. Young has been promoted to Rochester according to Paulson.

My guess is if Garcia continues to struggle at AAA, Lipscomb will eventually be promoted and Garcia will shift to the OF.

Let's be honest, if he is blocking somebody, he's Org Depth at this point. Since he doesn't profile well as a MI defender, maybe just move him to the OF. He still doesn't have a spot, but you have Robles all the chances in the world, why not give Garcia more chances?
