Very little impact. This game is about players. Otherwise we could have Eckstein and a bunch of AAAA bums and still get the results we're getting now. Hitting instruction has its impact at the lower levels.
They should have started him out there, IMO. Glad to see that he is going to finish things off there at least.
Shell's TERRIBLE!!! He's nothing but minor league garbage.
He also should be starting out there, IMO.
I agree with you that there is very little impact, but I think it is more important for a team like ours that is so young it could be a lower level team.
Easy, easy. It's just 1 outing with a 4-run cushion. He better get the job done in that situation. I hope Manny continues to throw him out there in close situations to see if we got a legit reliever or not.
by 'there' I meant Potomac.
I can't bicker with that. I especially think it's critical with a guy like Milledge who apparently didn't have much hitting instruction growing up. Still, their impact is minor in general.
28,393 in attendance. Wow, that's a little weak.
Yeah, his season ERA and WHIP are terrible. It's just today that he did well. Dude, stop picking favorites and least favorites.
Agreed and I don't see this production continuing too much longer. Although, there does seem to be distinctive difference in the demeanor of the club, for whatever reason. That, more than anything, will help them finish off the season pretty strong.... I think/hope.
Weak as hell. I've lost interest in going to games this season. I'm actually turning my focus to football in the next 48 hours or so.
At this level managing and coaching is overrated. See Joe Torre and Bobby Cox and let's not forget how Leo Mazzone forgot how to coach pitchers when he left Atlanta.
