This team is going to make it as difficult as possible to win this game.

Didn't it seem like the ball was in the other hand?
I'm pretty sure Desmond touched the runner.

Speaking of drunk, does anyone know if they stop serving brew at the Miller Lite Walkway or whatever it's called at the same time they stop selling everywhere else in the stadium?

It was because he was in motion of throwing to first base but it was a force out so that may be why the runner was called out.

With an empty glove.

Could be. I thought you had to tag a runner with the ball hand. But there are lots of rules I don't know.

You definitely can't get away with that on a stolen base attempt or a non force out.

Catchers often don't tag runners out with the ball at the plate on collisions but they get the call anyway.

Anybody still wandering what all the hype with Espinosa's defense is all about.  Yes, he has a strong arm but I also notice that he botches many cut off's by having trouble getting the ball out of his mitt.  I wonder if he needs a smaller mitt.
Let's not forget that he's still learning the position a bit.  He hasn't even been there a year yet.
