woot!

Caps win in Philly tomorrow night and they are in the playoffs...
I have the feeling the Penguins get in. A dirty feeling.

Per this the Flyers are out. So they just need to lose tomorrow and let the Caps in. And screw the Penguins. And maybe move up in the draft order. I don’t think anyone really has a handle on the MHL tiebreakers.

That's wrong...if the Wings, Pinguins and Caps all lose in regulation, Philly is in...

Elliotte Friedman has noted that the clinching scenarios raise a bizarre possibility: Because the Flyers must win in regulation to have any chance (and then they'd still need help), if the game is tied late in regulation, do the Flyers pull their goalie and risk the chance that the Capitals would clinch on an empty-net goal? I'd say the Flyers would pretty much have to take that risk.

Yes I think they do.  Unless Detroit is ahead like 5-0 at that time.  If you don’t make the playoffs better getting no points. Although I didn’t know if they can move up in draft lottery order.

What would be wild is if the game were tied, the Flyers pulled their goalie, the Caps' goalie then managed to shoot the puck down the ice and score a goal himself, and that goal then wound up being the game-winning goal. No team has ever clinched a playoff spot on a goaltender's goal.

Not quite sure who to root for tonight.  I’m afraid fhe Penguins will
Win the lottery if they don’t get in.  They can only move up ten spots but still.  Or is it Chicago’s year again VA?   I love my conspiracy theories.

Flyers eliminated.  freak the Primeaus.  Let’s in two terrible goals and then one right before the buzzer.

Yes...
Time to purchase Sling TV for a month.  Should be more than enough!

They need to give Lindgren some kind of bonus.  He has carried them.  And then they basically win tonight from a quick whistle.  All the pressure is on the Rags though.

Knicks are at home on Saturday and Monday, so Games 1 and 2 of the Caps' series will almost certainly be on Sunday and Tuesday.

The Caps are guaranteed to be the lower seed, and therefore the road team, in every series they play this postseason.

It will be nice to see the Knicks and Rangers both eliminated in the first round.

Caps were in the bottom of the league in almost any advanced stat you can find as well as goal differential.  So seems logical to me to assume they will beat the President Cup winners.  Some reverse karma from when they were in that position years ago.

Game one is set for Sunday at 3:00. ESPN.  I guess you local folks get the Tedvision broadcast for round one?

I believe that is still the case. After the first round it's usually national broadcasters only.
