The Cowboys offense actually looked a bit better as the game went on last night.  Dalton did make a couple of poor throws that resulted in INTs but he had a dropped TD pass to Gallup, and he was running for his life most of the night.  Elliot losing two fumbles hurt as well. Their offensive line was clearly overmatched, as was their defensive line (Murray only completed 8 passes because Arizona ran for around 260 yards.)

It is incredible how bad this division is right now.
Dalton also had a dropped interception early in the game that would probably have been a pick six. Don’t underestimate how bad Dalton can be. He used to be half decent but I think all the poundings over the years have had an effect.

I get why they have to play Tua, but that's such a crappy thing to do to Fitz.  He'd been playing pretty damn well in recent weeks.  You'd think they could at least let him go as high and far as he can go this season.  If/when they get eliminated from playoff contention, then play Tua.

It used to be that waiting a season or two to start was a good thing.  Aaron Rodgers waited three years.  Philip Rivers waited two.  I doubt it would hurt Tua's development to have him on the bench 15 weeks instead of 6.

Maybe they're going to trade him while his value is high?

I think Cousins, as much as he is a terrible QB, changed the math on rookie deal QBs. Teams saw what happens if you take too long to play a guy and decide whether or not to pay him- you get locked into way over paying mediocre because you have no other option. I think sitting one year is still viable, but after that it gets harder. If you want to see a guy play before an extension and you sit them two years, then after year three they are so close to franchise tag AAV that you're going to have to overpay if they do well

I got a good week out of Fitzpatrick last week as a bye-week sub for Russell Wilson. :)

This is devastating for those of us who want to see a 10-loss team win the division. Eagles have 9-loss season written all over them at this point, or maybe even .500.

I think you have to assume the all split within the division- that still leaves room for 10 losses

Eagles remaining non division opponents: Browns, Seahawks, Packers, Saints, Cardinals. Combined record: 20-7 (.741)

Cardinals and browns suck, but they’re doing well against the nfc East

Daniel Jones falling while running to the end-zone will be the butt-fumble of the 2020s.

There are probably college teams that could run the table on the NFC Least.

They scored a TD anyway though.

"That the play, an 80-yard run in which he topped out at a speed of 21.23 miles per hour -- the fastest an NFL quarterback has moved with the ball in his hands since 2018 according to NFL’s Next Gen Stats -- quickly became a meme and a viral sensation."

No wonder he fell--was running too fast.

Funny enough, the Cousins thing was purely an accident.  RGIII breaking really had a weird domino effect.

Philly is winning this division.

Yep.

Lol nope.  They'll probably have to play one of: Seattle/LA/New Orleans/Tampa, and they ain't beatin' any of those teams.  Seattle handled them pretty easily last year, and that was with a Philly team that was better than this year's version and a Seattle team that was weaker than this year's.

You are probably right that if they make it they will lose but last year they lost Wentz early in the game against Seattle. And then put in the 40 year old McCown who played most of the game injured.

They lost that game by a TD and were on the Seattle 10 with 2 minutes left.  I’ll be interested to see if homefield actually confers an advantage this year with minimal fans.

But many times in the past the team from the awful division has won because the my have a home game.
