Yes, our affiliate down in Woodbridge has a 3.5 games lead in the division....SS Stephen Perez is 6th in the league with a .333 BA and 8th with a .393 OB%....OF Brandon Miller is batting a pitiful .149, but has a respectable 7 HR and 14 RBIs, and has played 25 games so far this year without making a single error....On the pitching side, the clear strength of this team has been the bullpen. RH Brian Dupra is 3-0 with a 1.25 ERA in 6 relief appearances. Bryce Harper's brother, Bryan, a lefty, has a 0.79 ERA in 7 relief apperaances totaling 11 1/3 innings. RH Robert Benincasa has won 2 games in relief with a 2.53 ERA, but is also tied for the league lead with 6 saves.

The Hagerstown Suns are 30-8. Gotta move some of these kids up to Potomac.

their manager is 82-18 in two seasons per kilgore (last year in GCL).  Maybe this will be a Fab-Five type scenario in 2 years, just bring the entire team up to the majors as a unit and field 25 rookies.

Is Solano juicing? 7 Homers already this season. Never hit that many in an entire season

The Syracuse Chiefs were down 8-2 tonight and came back and won 10-9. They are now 27-22 (16-8 in the month of May) and in 1st place in the IL North.

Destin Hood hit a HR off of Red Sox prospect Allen Webster. He's also batting .330. Michael Gonzalez got the save and lowered his ERA to 0.79.

Chiefs are on a roll, 10-2 win last night with Peterson and Walters going deep.  Souza 1-5 with a run and a RBI.  Hood goes 3-5 with a run and 2 RBIs.

On the pitching side, Tatusko goes 6 allowing 2 ER on 6 hits, walking 3 and striking out 6.  Mattheus and Garcia were perfect to close it out.  Mattheus struck out 3 in 2 innings.

Call up the whole freaking team.

A couple of ex-nats help beat the Chiefs tonight - Alex Meyer goes 6 giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and 3BBs, also struck out 8.  Aaron thompson got the save.  Chiefs lose 5-4.

#freesouza goes 1-2 with 2BBs and a run.  Batting .354.

While this space is usually reserved for prospect updates, I thought it might be worth sharing the story of Harrisburg Senators hitting coach Mark Harris, who lost his wife Vickie last month at age 53. The former Hagerstown Suns and Potomac Nationals' coach opened up about losing his best friend and how those in and around the game have helped him through it.

Here's a link to the story: http://www.pennlive.com/senators/index.ssf/2014/06/baseball_provides_ultimate_sup.html

Gonna check out a Sens game in July and P-Nats in August. Man, that Potomac roster has no prospects of note besides Severino (maybe.) Has anyone gone? How much is beer/concessions typically?

I go to a decent number of pnats games because parking is easy and I don't care if the kids can only make it 5 innings. The beer is $7 for 'premium' The food is ok, I'm a fan of the italian sausage

I believe beers are like $6 at Potomac but discounted on thursdays. There is also a belly buster buffet night and $1 hot dogs on mondays.  Live nearby and have been going for years.  To be honest the food is not very good but I have not been to a game this year.  If you wait until August some of the Hagerstown guys might have been moved up by then.

No prospects of note?  Renda and Perez are not prospects?  What?
