Roark was acquired for 2 months of Cristian Guzman. Mike Morse was acquired for Ryan Langerhans and then 2 seasons later got MVP votes (seriously, I think people forget that Norwegian '80s music aside, the MF could really hit). Neither was expected to do remotely as well as he did.
I think the winner, though is this: Wilson Ramos was acquired for Matt Capps, who was out of MLB by age 30. Six years of a starting-caliber catcher, who even made an All-Star team, for Matt Capps. Granted, Ramos was a decent prospect, but that's still an absolute steal.
