No, he actually was charging after a ball on the warning track apparently. I get why they do it, and I know it's supposed to just be in fun. I just think it's an unnecessary risk for a player of Rivera's age

Considering he popped his knee out of place doing that exact same thing during the AFL, probably so.

But my point is more about Rivera's age and being more susceptible to knees buckling like it did.
