That's the only way Hernandez can be effective. He has to have the umpire expand the strike zone so he can get those bullcrap strikes and force batters to swing at garbage outside the zone.

Nice K. Lannan has 6 groundouts through 3 innings tonight. Counting those outs, Lannan now ranks 17th in all of baseball in groundouts recorded with 148.

Guz had a 2-out infield RBI single for the only run. Lannan is getting a lot of quick (ground) outs so far.
