You don't run the catcher when you are out by ten feet. That's how you get hurt. He sets up and delivers the blow with the equipment. You run the catcher when the ball gets there the same time you do. And you separate him from it.

If that happened SF would call Ruiz a dirty player. He wants our players to run over catchers but when an opponent runs over our catcher it's deemed by him a dirty play.
