Uh .... so like is this your first time with the Nats' medical staff? Cus the "minor" injury that takes weeks and months to heal is pretty much their standard decision

The Phillies have done the same thing several times this year. Gone short handed in games by refusing to put guys in the IL. Not sure if any other teams have the same issue. They might want to redo the X-rays and or MRI on Trea.

I'd assume a rehab assignment, but Bob and JMax were predicting that tonight would be a bullpen game. Since the Nats have an exhausted, and thin, bullpen, maybe they will start Fedde.

Maybe Jackson Reetz? Swihart caught a few years ago, but he has played OF, 1B, and C at Rochester. Maybe Rizzo likes Swihart's flexibility, but he has just worked his way about .200. Maybe it's time to call Tatonka, at least to see if he's in baseball shape.

Any catcher's DFA'd from a major league team lately? Like Lucroy?
