Great freaking game.  Intense at the end there. The better team won this one.

Agreed.  Ghana is going to be a beast in 4 years if their young talent develops.

US wastes so many chances.  Need a striker who can bury crap.  Altidore is only 20, though.  Looking forward to the next one

Congrats to Ghana. They played much better. Was fun to watch. Kind of sucks that we have to wait 4 years for another event such as this. Damn. Going to continue watching though. I enjoy watching England.

Charlie Davies not getting hurt would have made all the difference in this one.  Today was a very bad choice in Findley when Gomez and Buddle are both proven finishers and Findley is just really fast with no finishing ability.

Hopefully Spain and Argentina play each other. That would be A LOT of talent on the field.

Josey was battling a bad groin too, you could tell he didn't quite have that extra step. Lots of chances and even a PK! Ghana played well, and at least we lost because we got beat, not because we got whored by the refs. I can totally live with that.

It was fun watching this tournament, it's a bummer they lost, sucks we have to wait 4 years.

findley just didnt seem ready for the WC. i think against slovenia, he had a good chance but decided to make an unsuccessful pass. today he broke in an didnt score.

No need to wait.  MLS is alive and well.  Quality of play keeps increasing.  Attendance league wide keeps increasing.  Two more teams come in next year with solid pre-orders on season tickets and built in rivalries from the old A-league.

I agree with this. To me soccer is just like an Olympic sport- I'll cheer for the U.S. every four years, but don't really care what happens in the interim

I'm not much for watching full games. I'll watch games here and there. I have definitely gained interest in keeping track of the premier league and Spain leagues. They have some serious talent.

I'll watch them and the Italian leagues if they are on, but I'm not about to buy a sports package to watch them. Hopefully ESPN will air more premiere league games next year.

I'm bummed, but the better team won today.  I'm rooting for Ghana the rest of the way.  Bradley, don't start Clark ever again.

I don't know much about how aging works in soccer, but it seems to me that guys like Donovan and Dempsey are in their primes now, and this was an important opportunity for us.

England's goaltender (David James) should be playing when Portsmouth plays DC United at RFK on Jul 24.

This is turning out to be the Blitz 2.0

Those guys are good and might be on the decline in a few years, but I think their decline will pale in comparison to Altidore's growth.

Dempsey and Donovan are more replaceable than the size, speed, and potential skill Altiodore will bring in 4 and 8 years
