Happy Halloween WNFF peeps! Carved a pumpkin tonight for the first time in forever, my daughter thinks if you don't use stencils you shouldn't even bother but I love an old school pumpkin

Anybody else carve a cool pumpkin this year?

Boo back at ya !! Missus does all the carving. I'm not allowed to handle sharp objects. So, your daughter thinks a stencil is called for? Right. I bet she uses a smartphone too.

Great Harvest in Herndon had some great loaves of white bread with orange food coloring made up to look like jack o'lanterns Saturday. Too bad Great Harvest closes on Monday.

we carve pumpkins every year, usually something simple due to time constraints. I always make a few different types of roasted seeds, curry powder is my favorite.

this will be my first halloween not escorting the kids around the neighborhood as they are now too old for that. I'll drown my sorrows by setting up a fire pit in the driveway, drinking some beers, and listening to the Hamilton soundtrack for the 50th time.

We had one for around 18 years before we had to put him down. He was the smartest cat I've ever owned. He played fetch and liked to be chased around the house. He'd even chase after you if you ran away.

One of our current two is also a black cat and is the most affectionate, gentlest cat I've ever owned, but he's dumb as a box of rocks. He'll climb on a counter stool to watch you put food in his bowl. But when you put it on the floor for him, he sits on the stool looking lost. Sometimes he figures it out, sometimes I have to carry him to his food.

Rode through Mt Pleasant on my bike on the way home, and it's a madhouse. There are large crowds of trick or treaters headed that way from every direction. Reminded me of The Walking Dead
