Is that the standard we're holding SCEA to now? The Show franchise has serious QA issues.

I think you might be overreacting a bit. Are there some issues? Sire but the game is still awesome and SCEA has done a good job of patching it over the years.

Yeah I have to disagree with the massive QA comment.

Well, the last time I bought the game, they never patched the bug that ruined Franchise mode.

Yeah I have to disagree with the massive QA comment.

Go ahead, they still shipped a game with obvious bugs that should have been noticed.

I said the gameplay was great. The SCEA bandwagon is ridiculous, heaven forbid anyone have a complaint.

I disagree with the serious QA comment. A few glitches is not serious in my book.

Two examples:

-They've shipped a game where Franchise mode breaks 3 years in.
-They've shipped a game where the pitchers throw meatballs every first pitch in a game mode.

It seems reasonable to me that those issues should have been detected before the game shipped. They are such obvious bugs.

Thinking I need to up the difficulty in the show. Just owned the Yankees 12-0 and CC only lasted for 3 innings. Stras had 16 K's only allowing 5 hits.

I just got a playstation 3 and the show.. been playing MLB2K on xbox in the past.  The show-- at least beginner level-- seems to be pretty easy. Yep, Im putting up lopsided scores too. and yes, Stras is a BEAST in the show

What was the three year in bug? I don't recall it but I didn't get that far in either.

None of the stars would sign with teams because of some budget issue. So after 2 or 3 years, no teams could sign any players.

There are some annoying glitches but the RTTS meat ball glitch seems to be primarily in AA. I got called up to AAA and don't see a meatball every first pitch, though the first pitch strike % is a little high maybe.

I feel like the CPU players will NOT swing at a ball and the CPU pitcher will not throw a ball.

there are slider adjustments that can fix that.

I'm in AAA, noticed zero improvement.

That's patently NOT the case in 2K11.  At least on All-Star level.

There's a work around for it. As soon as the CPU picks its pitch and it greys out, step out of the box by pressing down on the d pad. Its not a perfect solution but it works.

Right, I posted the fix when I complained about the problem.

It's really not much of a hassle because the timeout animation goes so quickly.

I have a small sample size and it might be a placebo effect for me. I'll play some more.

I'll have to try the timeout thing.

I'd like some advice.  I bought my son a PS3 a few weeks ago.  He's quite a gamer, me not so much (almost not at all).  I'm obviously a big Nats fan, and he is too (he goes to game with me sometimes), but not like me (baseball is his third favorite sport).  Here are my questions:

1)  Would most folks agree that The Show 13 is better than 2K 13?  That's the consensus I seem to get from WNFF and other sources. (I want to buy one of these mostly to play with my son).

2) Any specific suggestions on modes/levels etc. that would be most enjoyable for my son and me to play together?  Any ideas about this would be appreciated - hoping to make this a fun/bonding experience for my son and me.

2K13 is trash and by supporting it, you're supporting crooks. (2k13 is 2k12 with new rosters. They didn't do anything to the game.)

So yes, most definitely The Show. As for modes, The Show has a mode where it teaches you how to hit and play the game. Start with that.

Except it's not even close to the same situation. But go ahead and act like it is.

Madden actually makes changes to the game, no matter how small.

2K13 is so bad they left the MVP chants in the menu section that went with the 2k12 game, for Verlander after he won  the MVP, David Price didn't.

If you can't see the difference or aren't knowledgeable enough on the subject of the theft 2K13 is committing, to know the difference, it would be best if you actually research the topic.

MLB 2K13 is so bad, they didn't even release a fact sheet about the game, because they didn't actually update the game. They switched the Astros to the AL and updated the rosters and shipped the game. The game is so bad, IGN refuses to even review it.
