This is the game right here, if we don't get Victorino, things will get hairy.

Sorry, I love those AFLAC commercials!  That was a new one.  Now that lady needs to leave that dress at the store and forget about advancing the paycheck!!

It don't get no worse than when Houston intentionally walks Ramirez(the pitcher) to face Brian Giles. LOL. That had me about t fall out my chair. Giles' confidence has to be shattered after that as he proceeds to end the inning.

Good afternoon, gentlemen.  I'm haphazardly packing up, getting ready to move out of my dorm tomorrow morning and head back home to Washington, watching the game as I do it.

Wouldn't it be nice to get Shawn Hill his first win today? A guy with a 1.80 ERA deserves it, and he's been solid throughout 7 for us.

We were very lucky to knock Cole Hamels off-kilter for that one inning and get three runs with 2 out.  Otherwise we'd have a 1-0 lead (perhaps) and it would be a much different game.  Hamels is going to be a star for the Phillies in years to come.

A win in this series would be so effin' sweet.  That would make what, seven in a row?

EDIT: No, it would be six out of seven, since we lost the last series against Das Phailers.  Otherwise it's Orioles/Astros/Dodgers/[Phailers win series 2-1]/Brewers/Braves/Phailers [god willing]

I;m not worried. The Braves pitching this year has been attrocious. Any attempt at a comeback this year for the most part has been ruined by the pitching.

I think he means 7 series wins in a row, but that's still not quite right, the Phils beat us at Citizens Bank park.  This would be 7 series wins out of the last 8 series though.

I'm talking about series, not games.  And winning a four game series against a good (great, really) team is much tougher than a three game one.

Yeah, you're right. If we can hang in there and get this, that's definitely big.

Maybe it'll even get a good placement on the front page of the Post's sport section.

Always amazes me how such a skinny little guy can hit the ball so far.

EDIT - Ah well I guess he's not quite as skinny as I thought.  6'1" 180 lbs.  That's only about an inch taller and 5 lbs. lighter than I was in my college days.  He's gotta be all muscle though (unlike me!)
