That guy Al Kaline looks to have been pretty good...I suspect he led the AL in hitting when he was 20.

Oh...and the HR and slugging % for Buddy Lewis has to be ignored, since he played at Griffith Stadium. The Old Park had the fewest home runs of any park for about 30 consecutive seasons...hard to hit one to left, where the line was about 405 feet...center was so far that people remembered homers by Babe Ruth and Ted Williams. Right field was a mere 320 on the line, but had edged outward and had a 30 or 35 foot wall on top. Plus an advertisement that was in-play.

I remember, vaguely, that in some seasons there were more inside-the-park home runs that into the seats home runs.
