Would have guessed Rear Window for Matsui.

You deserve an Enron Prize for that diagram.

They might as well have oil rigs in the outfield.  They could just call it Oil Field.

Big news:

1) Assume that Pudge is going on the DL

2) Chris Coste can kill us tonight as usual

injuryexpert RT @jhamrahi: The Houston Astros announced today that the club has claimed catcher Chris Coste off waivers from the Philadelphia Phillies.

Nah, I chose "The International" because it was blatantly racist enough not to actually sound racist.

Morgan - 8
Guzman - 6
Johnson - 3
Dunn - 7
Willingham - 9
Bard - 2
Gonzalez - 4
Harris - 5
Olsen - 1

I don't mind RZ getting a day off every now and then but he swung the bat well yesterday and made a great play in the field. I think this is the first game he has missed this year.

Looks like the pouting Guzman got his wish. Back to the #2 spot. :?

Didn't he sit out one other game when he was slumping?

No. This is long overdue. He should of had a day off after his streak ended.

Must have been an off-day that I'm thinking of.

the timing just seems odd. All-Star break coming up even though he will be partaking in the festivities in STL.

I agree, he should have had an off day several weeks ago.

They're from New Jersey. However, they are doing a concert in Houston in a month, so I'll use them in tomorrow's diagram anyways.

Ryan Zimmerman is out of Washington's lineup for the first time all season because of a death in his family. Zimmerman's grandmother, Ilene Lois Zimmerman, 82, passed away Wednesday in Pinehurst, N.C. The memorial service is tomorrow at 2 p.m. Zimmerman left the team today, flying into Raleigh, N.C., and will try to make it back for tomorrow's game. "He's gonna probably make it on time [to Houston] before the game is over [tomorrow]," Manny Acta said, "but he's not going to be able to start the game."

my condolences to RZ and family

First, my condolences to Ryan but, finding out why he's missing this game got me to thinking.  Did anyone close to Cal Ripken ever die during his career?  Or did they all die during the offseason which would be incredibly unusual?

I know that's way off topic...

Are you saying Ripken scheduled hits on sick or elderly family members during the offseason so he wouldn't have to worry about missing any games during the season?

Hmmm.... interesting theory!

Does Morgan lead the league in groundouts to the pitcher?
