I agree nobody could realistically expected to compete everyday with the lineup we are fielding. After the trade deadline we won't being playing these guys anymore, right now we're just shopping them and hoping that somehow we can get something for them.
We are doing a disservice to ourselves for showcasing these guys. Lopez and Estrada have hurt whatever trade value they had with more playing time.

The only way were getting anything for them is if we can trade away bowden first since he's the only one who actually think they belong in the majors

Redding has been good today. Let's see how he does in the 6th where he usually melts down.

Reddings opponents average against in the 6th is .349.  His 7th inning OAVG is .429.  So, yeah, it would be a minor miracle if he made it through those two unscathed.

He's only at 56 pitches so his meltdown might not occur until later in the game.

Redding has half of our hits today.  :|

I saw a game in DC earlier this year when Redding batted in both our runs.

Redding's been masterful today.  Great control, pounding the corners of the strike zone.

We can't string hits against this guy, our only hope is to get a mistake and hope the wind takes it out of the park. Prospects aren't good when two of our four home run threats are sitting on the bench instead of Fat Johnny and FLOP.

I agree, I wasn't saying I support the move at all but was just stating the facts. Estrada doesn't deserve to be behind the plate maybe Lo Duca since the Yankees supposedly have interest in him at catcher. But only until the trade deadline, Flores is clearly superior and deserves to start for the remainder of the season.

I'd say it's more a case of inept hitting. Just look at the two starting lineups, you'd think this were a Triple-A game.

Redding is on point today (knock on wood). I don't think he's even thrown 70 pitches yet.
