He's been terrible in his 3 starts since returning. Now that we know there was an injury, the time off makes sense. But, something isn't working. Whether he's not 100%, or he's working on new mechanics, whatever it is, something isn't right.

I'm thinking at this point, the AFL will be needed just to approach last year's work total. With his age, size, and stuff, he could reach the bigs in the 2nd half of the year next year. We don't want him on a 100ip limit because he only went 70ip this year.

sucks for him, but i guess it's a rite of passage. Hopefully he's able to contribute in 2025 out of the pen or as a rotation piece.
