Reyes (0-7, 5.84 ERA) has the potential to end the Cardinals' momentum as he is in danger of tying teammate Kip Wells  for the major league lead in losses. St. Louis has lost all eight of Reyes' starts this year.

The Cardinals have been swept six times this season, and Reyes has pitched in four of those series.

Micah Bowie  (0-2, 3.98 ERA) will make his second straight start for Washington after 20 relief appearances.

Bowie lasted just 3 1-3 innings in a 4-3 win over Baltimore on Sunday, giving up two runs and four hits in 3 1-3 innings. It was the left-hander's first start since Sept. 29, 1999, when he suffered a loss against Philadelphia while pitching for the Chicago Cubs .

I hate late starts. At least they aren't in San Diego. I just can't stay up for that.

Tonight is Ch20, right? That means I can be on the gamethread while I watch!! I can't miss watching, which is why my participation plummets on MASN games. I don't know how Chief is doing it. But thanks, Chief, it still seems to be working!

Why can't MASN get their act together and get the audio and video in sync!

It's really bizarre when they tell you the result of the pitch before it's even been thrown. :o

Nah - that's either some kind of a construction helmet or a turtle shell on his head.

When you go up against a pitcher with a huge ERA like Reyes, the "gameplan" should be make him throw pitches.  If he could consistently throw strikes, his ERA wouldn't be almost six!

DON'T SWING EARLY IN THE COUNT, PLEASE!

BUt I think I noticed that his K/BB ratio was pretty good.

Don't know where Sutton is tonight. I love his commentary. But King is really a good commentator, maybe even better than in the studio.
