Nothing feels better to a Maryland Nats fan than beating the Blows. Well. Winning game 7 in 2019...

With the :w: posted, we honor the memory of our friend Old Chelsea with the traditional post that tracks the Nats wins to date, in Anglophile style.

THE RACING PRECEDENTS - Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 18th win, each season:

2016 - 2nd May (25th match of the season)
2017 - 3rd May (27th match)
2012 - 5th May (27th match)
2014 - 6th May (32nd match)
2018 - 6th May (35th match)
2024 - 7th May (35th match)
2013 - 8th May (33rd match)
2005 - 9th May (32nd match)
2010 - 10th May (32nd match)
2015 - 11th May (33rd match)
2011 - 11th May (36th match)
2023 - 15th May (41st match)
2008 - 15th May (42nd match)
2019 - 16th May (43rd match)
2021 - 21st May (41st match)
2007 - 24th May (47th match)
2006 - 24th May (47th match)
2022 - 29th May (49th match)
2009 - 17th June (64th match)
2020 - 16th September (47th match)

Over .500 for the first time since 7/2/21.

Matching the 83 win 2018 team through 35 games.

The pitching has been remarkable compared to what was anticipated

There really is a gap between the 5 high power teams and the middle tier of the NL. This team as is is in the middle tier, but there's a playoff spot available to the middle tier.

not giving up homers has been key. Homers are down throughout baseball, but Williams and a few others haven't been taken deep.

Helps that Gray is hurt

The MLB speed-up rules must be working.

630 here on the West Coast

but still can't believe they're above .500, didn't see Williams pitch but impressive stat line against a tough lineup

Just got back from this game. What a win: the Orioles fans had nothing to cheer about after the national anthem. How real is this Williams kid?

We need to trade Williams right now.    This is getting stupid.

dude has Dodger written all over him. They use openers and bulk inning guys, and he'd be perfect as a bulk inning guy.

While he's here, I would love to see them try an opener like Jacob Barnes then follow that with Williams twice through the order and maybe into the bottom half a 3rd time.

Martinez is too traditional. He will never do that.
