You don't try to win the game by putting the tying run hitting .275 on base to pitch to a guy hitting .319. Especially when you have a normally sound closer like Storen.

I don't care what the numbers say (Pujols got of to a LaRoche-esque start to the season, btw, his numbers have been on a steady climb the past month or so and has a knack for coming through in the clutch), Pujols isn't the guy you want to beat you. You risk putting the tying run on and take your chances with the next guy.
