csu was playing much better at the start of the second half but has collapsed. I had csu winning this game. Darn.

Watching the KY game and I'm wondering if their opponent will announce after the game that they are becoming UNLV?

Oakland shooting 48% threes and 41% FTs. Crazy.

12,833 of 22.1 million ESPN brackets are still perfect. BYU and Kentucky losing were the big blows.

Didn’t have much time to watch games today. Able to watch the late games now. nC State and Texas Tech are in a close one.  Drake and Wash State also close.

Kansas really caught a break with that bad foul call end of the game last night.

I am not a Calipari hater, but what's the problem? It used to be that all his 1 and done guys would lack continuity and experience but have such extreme talent that he could blend it together. I can't imagine Kentucky hoops is serious outbid on NIL money. Is he a chef who gets great ingredients but can't actually cook a michelin star meal? Is it a style he likes to play that doesn't work anymore? I don't think that game  was blown on late game Xs and Os that the coach is responsible for. There was like only 1 dumb as rocks shot by Sheppard down the stretch, and that's just one of your stars having a cold night doing something cocky. Jayson Tatum does that a lot, too.

I mean, KY was a 3 seed, so it was still probably a borderline top 10 program based on regular season.

DJ Burns Jr. became a star last night. The crowd was going nuts in the 2nd half every time he got the ball, and booing when he came out of the game. At one point a "you can't guard him" chant broke out.

And unfortunately the announce team thought it would be fun to offer him an ice cream sundae during the post game interview (it's tradition in the locker room that NC State has ice cream after games, but it came off badly on TV).  He gave the ice cream to someone else.

The head of the SEC earlier this week called for the NCAA to get rid of automatic qualifiers for small conferences saying that the bids should go to more competitive leagues.

The SEC is 0-3 so far this year in the tournament.

I'm convinced Sankey is secretly working for professional leagues. He seems determined to kill national interest in college sports. What he's doing to football is bad enough, but all you have to do is look at conference tourney ratings to see how little people care about college basketball outside of the tournament.

Having the small conferences give the big ones a game is what the tournament is all about.  Oakland beating Kentucky and Samford almost beating Kansas were the nightlights of the day.  Just ignore that dude.

you know, it's just one stinking game, and about half the bids are at large anyway. How many non-conference winners do you think are being blocked? The 12s-14s win about 20-25% of their games.

The big east can argue that it got a snub or two this year, but I don't think that's who Snakey wants in. I can think of a single big10 or SEC team that got snubbed, if anything, I'd prefer a couple more small schools to their bottom at larges

Almost all the attractiveness of round 1 is the deep upsets by schools you never heard of. Vandy might be better than Oakland, but I don't think Vandy over KY would have anywhere near the coverage nationally than a school you never heard of becoming Cinderella. And, for the NCAA, the absence of Cinderellas in Round 1 would lessen the ratings.

The weak automatic bids already get screened out by half the games in the first four. 15s from these conferences do win games, and 12-14 from these conferences win them pretty regularly. IF he wants more at large games as play ins, fine - do the bottom 2 seeds of each half region and do a pair of at large v at large as well.

Well speaking of big conference also rans Northwestern saved my three game parlay by tieing it late and then winning in OT.  And then San Diego State pulled out one. Makes up for yesterday.

Next three game parlay is Yale +13.5, JMU +5.5 and Houston minus 23.5.
