Danny knew he was too hurt to be effective last year but never let on to anyone how badly he was hurt but then used it as an excuse after the fact, if they're so hurt it's affecting their performance they need to say so and go get fixed or healed or whatever but stop trying to play through it or tough it out if it means they're just going to suck!

Good point. What we probably don't hear about though is all the guys that tough it out through injuries and perform well.

We hear about it adnauseam . Guy gets injured they talk about him fighting through the pain and such. Kirk Gibson is a legend because he did it on a bum knee.

We never hear about a player's injury until afterwards. Like Danny. Like Zimmerman in 2012. Like Nate McClouth this season.
