watching the replay of the bunt, Rendon froze, he should have charged, that was his mistake, not Gios

He froze because he saw Gonzalez charging hard when he should've stopped and let his defense work.

Desmond was very classy standing and delivering to the media.
I'm thrilled with Rendon and Harper and the Nats starters.

He always talks after the game, yay he's a nice guy, too bad he can't hit for any type of consistency, SO over Ian.

Aside from chokers Drew freaking Storen, Gio Gonzalez and Aaron Barrett, the Nats pitched at an elite championship level this series.   :worship:

Put them in the right order:

Storen
Span
Laroche
Werth
Ramos
Desmond
Gonzalez
Barrett

Yeah, you right. I was just thinking how I would respond after that checked swing call in a media scrum and it prolly would've been a bit different.

Ian is a good guy to have on the team, but he should not be batting 5th.

:lmao:  I feel you Knorr but I wanted to give them the praise they deserve. They did not deserve what happened. They deserved a lot better fate. They were championship caliber.

Storen

Laroche
Werth
Ramos
Desmond
Gonzalez
Barrett

Ramos is the worst

Awful defensive miscues (one of the few guys on the team to do that), just USELESS at the plate (ridiculous automatic out) - all you're left with is the old "he calls a good game!" which might not even be true given certain pitch selections at key spots (e.g. the walk in game 2, 9th inning)

Nor was he when Zimmerman was still in the lineup.

Strasburg was ordinary. Would have liked to seen him start another game or pitch in relief in this one to see if he would have improved. oh well, maybe next year. :hang:

I have never understood the love people have for him. Aside from his power (which is inconsistent) he is futile.

Stras is gonna be lights out next year.

We might actually have better pitching next year than this, if that is even possible.

But he doesn't deserve to be on the list with Storen, Gonzalez and Barrett.

I'll take a guy batting .250 - .260 who can hit 20HR in the 7 spot.

I'll give you that, but I'm wondering if it'll be worth a damn in the end given all of the massive problems this team has, going all the way up to the boneheaded manager who apparently trusts Barrett over Stephen freaking Strasburg.

When the game ended, Desmond should have gone over and cold cocked the umpire. It would have been SO worth the fine and suspension. The publicity would have forced MLB to re-evaluate the lousy umpiring, especially balls and strikes.

You may be right. They really figured it out towards the end of this season. If they can pick up where they left off, look out...

I thought he would be lights out this season. Hopefully he steps it up to the next level in 2015.
