all i can say, is that I REALLY wonder about this organization.  they say they put him on the dl, mostly, for precautionary reasons.  they then say all is more than fine with his work, so much so that it's almost like a 'whatever' thought to just activate him, and have him start this game.  and, THEN, in just the third inning of the game, with little work, there's some injury...and, quite sadly, quite possibly, a very serious injury...

and, just like that...with knowing things can just happen.  but, it really doesn't seem so.  there has to be some evidence to warrant better decisions, perhaps, or, I just don't know.

Most people complain about the organization handling him with kid gloves.

Will this be the end of his career if it's a torn ligament?

You're preaching on being a Nats fan? Weren't you the one who naged about giving up on the team because they can't win a title?

I never said I was giving up -just totally pissed off about how they play - I skipped watching a few games -

as I have said I have followed football my whole life and then hockey - and the CAPS kill me ..
Never followed baseball until the Nats came to town - still can't get used to the "its baseball" issue  - in my eyes a team like the Nats or Cubs should never lose a game to a team not in the top 20% in baseball -losing to a team like Philly or Atlanta just gets to me - in Football one game lost is a big deal also - still trying to get used to baseball ..

No, they'll do another TJ, but the success rate drops from something like 90% to 20% after the second one.

Everything is going to be fine. It'll come back as inflammation. He'll be pushed to the pen for the playoffs. Max and Tanner will get us through the playoffs

Face will put the team on his back...

The guy that just followed him is on his second TJ. But it took him years to get back.

The odds on the second aren't nearly as good.

Will this be the end of his career if it's a torn ligament?

Stressburg is back!  Glad I saw his debut, too bad his career is over with if this is a second TJS.

The offense can't overcome the decline we will see in pitching.

There are a couple alternatives if it's less than a complete tear of the UCL.  I suspect in his case they might try something else first.  Hopefully this is not the road to go down.  It could be a lot of other things, even within the forearm.  But in case it is, here's a list of two-time TJ guys.  It looks like more than 20% make it back, but of course that's no guarantee of being any good when they return: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gQujXQQGOVNaiuwSN680Hq-FDVsCwvN-3AazykOBON0/edit#gid=2096785497

Kelley's had two, as well.  Precious few starters come back from a second and are still starters, or any good at it at least.
