Davey is one of Harp's biggest fans. 

I have no proof, but believe that with the team's offense skidding, Davey pushed Rizzo into making the move. 

Especially seeing how they were all the way on the opposite coast and he made his debut out there rather home on a weekday night. 

Regardless of who made the initial call, I'm glad they did it and not waste any time.

Bowden says Harper will be the eventual long-term CF for the Nats.  Why not start him there now and put Moore in LF?
