Agreed, if the front office is serious about defense, Morse isn't near as good at LF.  At 1B, he's above average, in LF, not so much.

He'll be in Lf next season.

I'd only be okay with this if the guy at 1st was named Prince.

I don't know how I feel about that situation.  I'd love Fielder, but that would make us worse defensively at 2 positions.

That move would also make us better offensively at two positions. It'd probably be worth it.

I'm not an expert here, but according to UZR/150, Prince isn't much worse than Morse at 1st, defensively.

UZR (range) for a first baseman, while not worthless, is not nearly as important as it is at most other positions. Range is part of a 1B's job, but he's got other stuff to account for as well.

But in the first inning he also said on Morse's double that the ball carries pretty decent in Dodger stadium at night. But last night he said the opposite when Bernadina and Espinosa missed HR's in the first inning.

Yup, I noticed that too.

FP's mouth moves.    And then he thinks (sort of) afterward.

Gorzelanny gives up hit to weak LH hitter and now a wild pitch.

He's no good

Forget about Fielder. They will have Laroche back at 1B and move Morse to LF because Laroche is signed through 2012. By 2013, Morse will be back at 1B and Harper will be in LF.

This is the place where the #8 and/or #9 batter gets a hit.

I knew that, but I am wishing that that situation works itself out, somehow, some way.
