Harper continues to heat up

http://natsinsider.com/2014/08/25/harper-continues-to-heat-up/

Nice to see:

Quote
The 21-year-old added a double, two RBI and his seventh home run of the season in the Nats’ 14-6 win over the Giants on Sunday. The homer was his fourth in his last 17 games, a span that has seen him bat .308 with nine runs, 11 RBI and an .869 OPS. In those 17 games, the Nationals went 14-3.

He is certainly making his presence known, a definite warming trend. Nice to see him hitting a couple of pull homers to go with the base hits up the middle.  Hit .350-.400 for ten games and I'll say it's a tear.

No way we compete with the Barves with him hitting like that.  No.  Way.

What cities you think would be interested in the franchise?  Jacksonville?  New Orleans?

Follows up a great performance with an absolute crap one. Swinging at the first pitch in the sixth with Desmond on second and no outs is the definition  of baseball stupid.

Great outfield assist was very welcome, regardless of his batting struggles though.

He's playing because of his bat. We needed a big hit and he failed.

He fails at the little things. The little things that other players in their third season are executing.

Other players in their third seasons are 25. Not an excuse, but makes the comparison a little more fair.

Not really. Experience is experience.

He's RGIII. Has a ton of potential but doesn't have the skill base to capitalize on his talent.

He is not RG3.  RG3 will be with the Redskins another two, maybe three, mediocre seasons, then bounce around from team to team another 3-5 seasons, then he'll be out of football.  Harper will eventually figure it out.

Wonder if Zach Walters will catch him in home runs? He's got six now.

I hope you're wrong about RGIII but I think his play the other nite was dreadful.

As for Harper, I think it's very unfair to judge him after the hand surgery he had.  It takes a lot of time to heal from that.  Bryce has started to come around and hopefully will continue to contribute.

We wonder if you'll ever give us a decent post. You've got none now.

You've pounded on Harper quite a bit.  What kind of career do you expect from him?
