THIS DAY WITH THE '05 OVERACHIEVERS: Wednesday 14th September 2005 saw the Nats make it two straight over the Mets at Shea (my, how they enjoy playing the Mets on the road nowadays!), 6-3. This was the one in which Jose Guillen threw stuff onto the field (helmet, a few bats, shinguard) and was thumbed, then Wilson and Castilla hit consecutive homers...record now 75-71...http://espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=250914121

Mystics lost again (10th straight) yesterday in front of a slightly larger-than-usual 'crowd' (for want of a better term)...what made this different was blowing a halftime lead (42-32), something they have rarely enjoyed this year...just not our day for the local sides.
