This could be ugly. We really need to play well and win some of these games.

Need to make a statement tonight. Our #1 vs their #5. Gotta win. Strasburg needs to set the tone early.

I have a feeling Stras is going to pitch a gem tonight. Barves have struggled lately, played late last night, and he seemed locked in after the first inning of his last start....

I hope the Nats watched the Tigers vs Braves series footage. The Tigers put on a clinic on how to pitch to them. Evan Gattis has a HUGE hole in his swing when you throw it on the outer hal of the plate, he can't hit it.

Eww. Danny Espinosa in the 2 hole. I thought the point was to get people on base before Harper comes up to bat.

At Nats-Braves on ESPN at 7 pm et. Watch Strasburg early. He has allowed a baserunner in the first inning in each of his last nine starts.

Often times it's allowed for him by an error.

Johnny Holliday called Laroche's 0-26 slump "a little bump on the road". :wtf:

Is that the first inning?   If so, that sucks.

Yeah. He's allowed 6 ER in the 1st, 5 in the 6th, and that's it.

For the out of towners, are you getting to see this game on ESPN?

Johnny's a buttlick.  EVERY other MLB team would have sat him for 2 games.

Only 10 minutes until first pitch.  Last chance to get your 7-Game Road Series Guessing Game picks in.  Only 6 entries so far:

They are picking on Strasburg'ls last start on the ESPN broadcast. All bloop hits. And according to Sutcliffe all terribly located pitches.
