Original Yes lineup.  Anderson and Squire and Bruford.  No Howe or Wakeman. More laid back and jazzy sound.

If you click on the Watch on YouTube it will take you there to watch.

Not sure why that happens.  But I blame Boris Johnson and Brexit.

FYI. The original Yes lineup.

Jon Anderson. Vocals
Chris Squire.  Bass
Bill Bruford. Drums
Tony Kaye.  Keyboards
Peter Banks. Guitar.

Kaye was replaced by Wakeman before Fragile I believe.  Banks was replaced by Howe for the Yes album.

I love that first Yes album. At least for me, it's one that's worth listening to from beginning to end. I think their first five albums are by far their best.

And the picture quality on that video is outstanding for a TV program from 1969!

YES it is.  I’m partial to the Yes album.  And then Close to the Edge. I also like Drama even without Jon singing.

The Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, and Howe album was pretty good as well. I saw that tour in the late 80's

YES. But no Squire.  That’s sacrilegious. Don’t recall why he was not in that group.

IIRC they were fighting over the rights to the Yes name. That's why they couldn't use it.

I love Wakeman's take on how Prog has become the only music genre to become so reviled in it's own lifetime - 'you can go into a record store and say '' I'll have some Disco and some Soul - hmm, let's see, some Metal and Punk - oh, yes - and some Reggae. Maybe some Techno and Electronic too''. Then you sidle up to the counter and, leaning towards the salesman, you whisper '' got any Prog?''. After some furtive glances the salesman produces a package, in plain wrapping, from under the counter...'  :D   ;)

I revel in the pretentiousness.  Songs that go in forever. Weird lyrics. Can’t beat it.

And here's one of the greats from, IMHO, the greatest Prog band of them all... (still the Masters Of Grim).
