I guess that's the starting rotation you get when you spend 130 million dollars on starting pitchers with an average age of 36.   Blindly spending lots of money is really not a way to win  in the MLB these days, I guess.

last night  had the feel of a pre-pitch clock game because both starters were so inefficient. Still, it was about 3:10 and I was home before 11 due to good connections and the yellow line being back.

So, with the bullpen use in game 1, i guess that thompson may get a high leverage appearance, maybe the 8th and 9th, if there's a late leave.
