He's got a great attitude. Love that he is excited to be here. Talked about the Caps game and the fans.

I think we're going to love this guy.

Our rotation has three young likable guys who could all develop into 'aces'- have to be excited about that moving forward

Should have worn a red tie, otherwise no complaints. Definitely a nice looking guy, clean cut, polite, happy to have him here in D.C.

As others have said, the kid is impressive.  Well spoken, great with the media and seems to be down to earth.

agreed.  better than having three cocky jerks who are all about themselves.

strasburg, zimmermann, gonzalez are confident, good teammates.

the pitching is going to be solid, no doubt in my mind.

did anyone ask him if he thought someday he could be a slugging 1st baseman?

I always felt that signing Prince would have helped the offense, but as a slugging first baseman, we may already have one in Morse.  He obviously has to put up the numbers he did last year again to be considered for the job but the extension was smart as insurance for either a trade or a baseline for a longer deal next offseason as the first baseman of the future.  Unfortunately the offense still sucks without another left handed power bat, but when Harper is ready he could be the solution to that issue, just don't expect him to be plugged in to the four hole and provide protection right away.  Best case scenario here is that the team attempts to pick up Upton, but the team won't move Espinosa for him.  If they could get Tampa to take Desmond, I think the top brass is alright with trotting out Lombo although we really would be opening up a new hole while attempting to fix another.  The in house option is to hope that Corey Brown can absolutely destroy in ST and make the club as the starting CF, but I seriously doubt that happening.

Rotation and Pen should be solid and keep us in games.  No offense means we won't be winning those games though.  My bet is bringing in Upton, but it's a stretch.  I'm not sold on bringing in Byrd, even on a one year rental.
