By the team that's actually in the post season actually winning their way in?  That makes a heckuva lot more sense to me than a team put together midseason for an exhibition game.

I was at Camden Yards watching the Nats game a couple years ago and I spent an inning loudly picking between Red Sox and Yankees for each of my AL votes.

Precision trolling, good work.

Hmm...it looks like Giancarlo Stanton's knee is bugging him again and he may miss the ASG and HR Derby.  He had an MRI yesterday, and he's missing the rest of the current series.  If he misses this weekend's games, he will likely not go to Kansas City.  Could be an opportunity for Harper...

That was the time frame when Zimmm had just come out and blamed the pitching staff for the team losing, while the offense was stinking just as bad, the Os fans around me were impressed with my ability to heckle our own players.

Zimmm was always of questionable loyalty.

The timeframe was May 2008, Zimmm had just started a new blog and in his second entry he criticized the pitching while he was personally off to a bad start that year, PB69 did not appreciate a slumping player trashing his teammates.  CSN doesn't have those old blogs archived so I can't find the original entry along with my less than agreeable comment.

Here it is, Harper with my little bros. He was staying on the same floor as us at The W hotel and we bumped into him before he got on the elevator. I whispered to my bros it was him and then my mom freaked out and he turned around and gave both of them high fives and asked how they were doing and if they were Nats fans. He was a real nice guy and it was weird because he's only one year older than me. Also, the girl he was with was a 10 which comes as no surprise to me but I just figured I'd let y'all know.

Honestly I was so nervous just taking a pic I completely forgot to get one of her, but trust me she was a 10. about 5'7-8 black hair wearing a black dress. Pretty much Harper is the man.

Thanks for posting the picture.  Really exciting to run into him like that.  I can't imagine what he was doing with a gorgeous girl in a hotel.  Hopefully his back doesn't get any worse. :eyebrows:

The Natural player like Bryce should beware of an attractive woman in black, especially in a hotel...

Quick note. I'm in Cooperstown.  Most of the shops have Harper pictures and jerseys in their windows. Harper signed balls are going for 150-200 bucks

sorry, missed your note.  While the HoF is an amazing experience (this was our 3rd time there), it's still frustrating as a Nats fan.  We did get the kids a bryce harper lego figure but that was about it on the Nats merchandise.  Even the Nats locker in the museum has mostly older stuff - the newest item is the first ball Strasburg threw in his debut.  We did see Zimm's Lou Gehrig award nameplate, but unlike all the others it just has the team name, not the city.
