How do you usually drink gin?

At home put it in the freezer and drink it neat.

Out I drink it on the rocks.

I have limited experience with gin, but it seems like there is a lot of variation among it. I is a very broad classification. Even reading about what it is, I don't get it. It is a neutral spirit, whatever that is, with anything you want to add to it

I've never gotten the appeal of gin,  it's Juniper infused vodka

How do you usually drink gin?

martini or gin and tonic.

then again, there's gin and juice if you feel like kicking back, putting on some snoop dog, and reliving the 1990's.

I think at my 5th year college reunion, we were told we set the record for gin consumption it was so hot.

What I'm drinking lately when I don't feel like getting filled up by beer has been Stoli Razz and soda with a lemon and a lime.  Sounds weak, but it isn't sweet and the soda kind of naturally makes up for the hydration loss.  Also, reminds me of my hero . . . PUTIN!

Haven't been there yet, but I gather that Mockingbird Hill has Greenhat G&Ts on tap, and a friend whose tastes trend top shelf says that they are out of this world.

I thought I'd bump this because I'm curious as well.

3/4oz Rye, 3/4oz Benedictine, 3/4oz sweet vermouth, 3 drops absinthe, 3 drops bitters - stir over ice pout into chilled highball glass, enjoy  (of course at that rate my bottle of absinthe will last about 5 years).

Last night, a promo team showed up at CCSP pushing Reyka Vodka.  It's ICelandic.  I don't associate Vodka with any country other than Russia and Poland.  What's the deal with western european countries like France *Grey Goose?) getting any credibility on Vodka?  It's not quite like asking for orthodontia tips from England, but what is the country supposed to connote about the product (except for eastern europe)?

Eh, when I think of quality anything,  neither Poland nor Russia spring to mind.  Since vodka is basically distilled anything lots of countries can claim some sort of vodka 'heritage'

But JCA - did you take advantage of the circumstances by using this promo as a chance to participate in a "Clinical Trial" ???

First time I've ever seen this in the States - Crabbie's Alcoholic Ginger Beer, now available at Giant (I forget what the price was but it's in 4-pack bottles). Delightful drink, 4.8% ABV with a lively ginger kick to it...stands up well to ice...don't miss it!

Years ago beer was illegal in Iceland, so everyone drank brennivin (essentially schnapps, pretty close to vodka).  I guess they have some experience distilling potato mash.

It is almost like an alcoholic ginger ale, I loved it and I traditionally really dislike cider, fruit beer, etc.

I think it needs the ice to cut the sweetness.  Very refreshing cuz of the ice.  Good for those times you want a soda but maybe not thecaffeine and sugar. ...and if you want alcohol

Oh my gosh Crabbie's is here?!??!?!! I've missed it so much!

They better be selling it in Texas. [checks Spec's website] Yes, they have it! $10.52 for a four-pack! I sense a Moscow Mule party in my future.

Generally with Vodka it's all about the filtering.  Skyy gives me the worst headaches the next day compared to some of the more pricy brands.  Rum hits my head pretty hard as well.  JD, Maker's, Scotch, beer... no problems.

As for ginger beer - will have to give it a shot.  The Angry Orchard Apple-Ginger is pretty tasty in its own right though.
