Just met Bryce Harper

Just ran into Bryce Harper at Wal-Mart!  The kid actually went to my high school, but I graduated in 2006, I think that was a year before he even attended it.  I felt like an idiot that this is the first time in about two weeks I wore a cap other than my Nats cap though.

I think it is great that he smiled and stood for the photo.

Once, may daughter and her best friend recognized Chuck Knoblach walking down a ramp from Yankee Stadium. Steinbrenner had been snarling at Knobbie the day before -- weird problem throwing to first -- but he stopped, smiled, and waited while a policeman snapped a picture. It must have been a bad day for him, but he is classy.

Happy that Harper is the same.

Knoblach has always been classy, as a player and a person. Met him also at Yankee Stadium; really 'real' guy. Again, glad Bryce is like him.
