I was very happy with Capps' pitching, but also his reaction. Hanrahan looked like a scared wussy, but Capps has a closer's mentality. I think a 7/8/9 of Bruney, Capps, and Storen will prove to be very effective.

It wasn't pretty, but I'll take it. Nice to finally get the first one.

Definitely hitting the Mickeys hard tomorrow night. ;)

A win sure makes a night at the ball park feel good.
Nice game guys, real battle from start to finish.
Time to give my vocal chords a rest for a few days.
Go Nats!

(no ugly Filthy phan incidents tonight, much smaller crowd all around)

CBS sports show Mock vs. Pelfrey tomorrow, then Lanan on Saturday.  What happened to Livan?

So Livo's the number 2 guy now?  (Not that I really know why it matters in what order your starters start)

I think it's more that he's filling the gap so the whole staff can get their 5 days rest in.

Levale will have that to share with his grandchildren one day, a superlative highlight in an otherwise underwhelming pro career.

No doubt, I just looked up that game and forgot he only went 6 innings against them that day. For some reason I thought he lasted at least 7.
